Heritage Theme.

Photo's from the "Autoclassica" Launch weekend Sep 2007.

A feature of the Autoclassica is to recall the era when famous drivers like Mike Hawthorn, Stirling Moss , Ken Wharton, Reg Parnell and Ninian Sanderson drove the legendary V16 BRM's, Thinwall Special, Connaught and ERA G.P. cars at the nearby Old Turnberry Airfield track.

To capture this, and the the unique ambience of Culzean Castle with its magnificent location, the event will adopt a traditional theme.  Participants will be invited to enter into the Autoclassica spirit by arriving in Period Costume reflecting their particular era of transport.  For owners of newer vehicles, we are encouraging participants to adopt the 40's, 50's, 60's period to reflect the time before, during and after racing taking place at Turnberry.

Members of the public are invited to come along and even join in the spirit of the event by arriving in similar costume.  It is not compulsary but great fun, with spot prizes awarded to some of the best turned out visitors.
